Research Fellow on the CIRCOMP project – DIA, UniPR

Olha Palii obtained her Master’s Degree in Mining Engineering from Zhytomyr State Technological University, Ukraine, in 2014 and began her Ph.D. at the Faculty of Mining, Nature Management and Civil Engineering at Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University, Ukraine, in 2020. Since October 2022, she has been a Research Fellow in the Structural Engineering research group at the University of Parma, Department of Engineering and Architecture, Italy.

Her research focuses on sustainable building materials, particularly on the use of recycled aggregates from construction and demolition waste in concrete and other types of waste. Her research is aimed at the evaluation of physical and mechanical properties of eco-concrete, also with steel bar (influence on chlorides diffusion and evaluation of steel-to-concrete bond performance). The main results are described in several publications presented in national and international conferences and in scientific journals.
